❗ Thinking of Using a Visa Agent in Indonesia?
Before you do, ask them these 3 questions. Your future might depend on it.
Question 1️⃣ Are you certified or registered with an immigration authority like:
• IAA (UK)
• OMARA (Australia)
• RCIC (Canada)
If not, who’s backing the advice they’re giving you? Some unregistered agents can be fine, but it’s important to approach with caution. Always check their track record and make sure they’re transparent about the process and fees.
Question 2️⃣ If my visa is refused, do you offer any follow-up support and whats next?
A reliable agent won’t disappear the second things turn south and you will already be aware of this from the Terms of Agreement or Client Care Letter that you have signed.
Question 3️⃣ How do you protect my private data?
Do you follow international privacy standards like GDPR? or PDP in Indonesia?
Your ID, passport and financial info should NOT be casually stored on a freelancer’s laptop or shared to multiple persons without your consent/knowledge
🚦 If they can't confidently answer all 3… that’s your sign to keep find a new agent.
