CHILD DEPENDENT VISA

What type of visa will I receive?
The Child Dependent Visa is for children seeking permission to stay in the UK when a parent has already obtained or at the same time applying for a Partner Visa under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. If the child's parent does not have or is not acquiring leave as a Partner under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules but holds a different type of leave, the child should apply accordingly, either under the family visa or or as a dependent child of a points-based system migrant.

If your child meets the requirements for a Child Dependent Visa, they will initially be granted a visa that will expire on the same date as the visa held by the parents.
Estimated Processing times
Typically, the visa processing time is up to 12-24 weeks from the date of biometric submission, with the option of a fast-track service that may yield results in approximately 6 weeks (though not guaranteed).

To apply for this visa, you have the option to either be included as a dependent in your parent's application or to apply separately.

-
Your child has not established an independent family unit.

-

-
Have access to adequate accommodation in the UK.
